To strengthen our team we are looking for a precision mechanics design engineer. Being part of the development team, the engineer is strongly involved in system engineering activities during the concept and architecture definition of new developments. During the course of the development, the engineer is responsible of the mechanical design and is strongly involved in the assembly & integration and test of the system under development.
Tasks
- Participate in system concept development together with mechatronics and electronics engineers
- Definition and development of system architecture
- Mechanical design of high precision modules, systems and instruments
- Involved in the integration, verification and test of prototype developments
- Specification, support and review of outsourced activities
Requirements
- Academic degree in mechanical engineering with emphasis on precision mechanics
- Good analytical skills and an abstract level of thinking though still combined with a pragmatic approach
- Proper background and interest in the basics of physics
- Team player with good social and communicative skills
Preferable
- Familiar with mechantronics and control systems
- Working experience in similar job in high-tech environment
